During the flocking process Flock Fibers<\/a><\/span><\/span> into a flock adhesive using an electrostatic field. In the first step dit flocking process <\/span>the object to be flocked, called the substrate, is cleaned or pretreated so that the flock fibers later anchor optimally in the adhesive. After cleaning or pretreatment, the adhesive is applied. This is done, for example, by brushing, spraying or rolling. This is followed by flocking, after which the substrate or adhesive is dried and cleaned again to remove excess and loose flock fibers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

This process can take place manually as well as in a partially or fully automated flocking plant.\u00a0<\/p>

During the flocking process the\u00a0Flock Fibers<\/a>\u00a0vertically in the adhesive. These form a layer over the substrate covered with adhesive. However, after flocking, only about 10 % of the flocked surface is covered with fibers. This is due to the \"voids\" or spaces between the fibers that form during the electrostatic process. Visually and haptically, a completely flocked and velvety surface is produced.\u00a0<\/p>

Depending on the nature of the flock fibres in terms of material, length and thickness, flock has or develops different properties.<\/p>

Any material can be flocked, e.g. plastic, wood, foam, rubber, metal, paper, porcelain, foil, glass and much more.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
