In order to guarantee ideal electrostatic flocking, certain conductivity measuring ranges of the materials used must be guaranteed and are therefore indispensable in flocking technology.

For flocking, the DMB 15 masters, in addition to the normal logarithmic measuring ranges, also a resistance measurement according to DIN 54 345 for measuring the flock. The DMB 15 conductivity meter offers reliable moisture measurement for textiles as well as conductivity measurement for flock. Thanks to the large touch screen with colour display and the variable battery operation, the DMB 15 offers a high degree of mobility and comfort for fast and flexible working. Via the touch screen, the user selects between the fibre types and their mixture. The measured values can be stored in separate databases and thus differentiated into different categories (e.g. fabric types).

The DMB 15 offers an additional connection to connect the device to the PC via USB cable and to read out the stored measured values with CSV data transport. The display for the flock measurement is in the usual scale divisions and can be switched to direct ohm display. The rechargeable battery with automatic self-shut-off has a running time of up to five hours. In addition, the conductivity meter can also be used for long-term measurements in mains operation. Due to the bumper housing, the DMB 15 is also perfect for outdoor use, with the carrying strap rounding off comfort and safety.

In addition to the ring electrode, the conductivity of the flock can also be measured with a surface electrode. The single-needle electrode additionally offers the option of substrate measurement of the ground resistance. The base material conductivity can be determined using the two-needle electrode during the flock measurement.
