The compact system for the flocking of paint rollers is characterized by the fact that the flock extraction, flock return, flock collection and flock dosing are an integral part of the actual flocking booth. The system is designed in C-construction in such a way that it can be extended and retracted into the conveying system of the entire plant. For a quick colour change, 2 flocking cabins filled with different flocks can be exchanged.

The flocking machine consists of a solid, welded profile frame in which universally adjustable wide slot nozzles with clamp holders for flocking are mounted. On the opposite side of the flocking nozzles there is a counter electrode which is connected to the high voltage generator in the control cabinet. The workpieces suspended from the holders are rotated as they pass through the flocking nozzles. The flocking nozzles move continuously up and down.
Before leaving the flocking machine, the flocked workpieces are carefully pre-cleaned. This is done with additional, moving blowing nozzles, which thus blow off the adhering flock. This flock can then be reused for further flocking.
In order to avoid flock leakage from the machine during operation as far as possible, it is closed on all sides by large viewing windows. The front side is closed by a viewing window secured with a safety limit switch, whereby both the flock dosing and the high voltage are immediately switched off and grounded. A grid bottom prevents any falling workpieces from falling into the clearing device. Below the grid a brush clearing device is installed, which transports the accumulating surplus flock to a trough screw conveyor with suction connection installed in the cabin floor. From there the excess flock is sucked off and transported back to the flock dosing unit.

• Flock suction and dosing device consist of:
• a cyclone as pre-separator
• a rotary valve for discharging the flock from the pre-separator into the flock collection container
• a machine frame with refilling and maintenance openings
• a sieving device for sieving out coarse residues from the recycled surplus flock
• Collection container for coarse residues
• Refill opening for fresh flock for refilling while the machine is running
• Brush-loaded dosing screw for dosing the flock through a sieve bottom, with infinitely adjustable screw speed
• 4 blowers for transporting the metered flock to the blowing nozzles, with continuously adjustable air volume
• 3-part sieve tray insert (coarse, medium, fine)
• Agitator to prevent bridging in the flock collection tank
• Level indicator for monitoring the flock level in the collection tank

All components described above are firmly connected to the machine frame and can be moved out of the flocking unit as a unit.

The machine concept can be individually adapted to your requirements and can also be equipped with an external flock dosing system.
